  1. It’s 1 of . Prawns – 2 cups cleaned prawns.
  2. You need 2 of . Garlic paste – 2 tspn.
  3. It’s 3 of . Turmeric powder – 1/4 tspn.
  4. You need 4 of . Red chilli powder – 1/2 tspn.
  5. It’s 5 of . Coriander seeds – 2 tspn.
  6. Prepare 6 of . Fenugreek seeds – 1/4 tspn.
  7. You need 7 of . Dried red chilli – 2 or 3.
  8. Prepare 8 of . Onion – 1 medium chopped.
  9. It’s 9 of . Grated coconut – 6 tbspn.
  10. Prepare 10 of . Ginger – 1 inch chopped.
  11. You need 11 of . Mustard seeds – 1/4 tspn.
  12. You need 12 of . Tamarind pulp – 1 tspn.

This recipe takes comparatively more oil as we don't add water while cooking the masala or prawns. Add a tsp of mustard seeds and wait until they start spluttering. Prawns sukka instructions

  1. Marinate the prawns with garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt. Let them marinate for 10 – 15 minutes..
  2. Dry roast coriander seeds, fenugreek seeds and dried red chilli in a pan till fragrant..
  3. Grind together 4 tbspn coconut, ginger and roasted spices with a little water in a blender to a coarse paste..
  4. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and when they splutter add curry leaves and onion and saute till lightly browned..
  5. Add ground paste and saute for 2 – 3 minutes..
  6. Add marinated prawns, salt, tamarind pulp, 2 tbspn grated coconut and water. Cook till prawns are done. Serve hot garnished with grated coconut. Prawns sukka ready..
