This recipe takes comparatively more oil as we don't add water while cooking the masala or prawns. Add a tsp of mustard seeds and wait until they start spluttering. - Marinate the prawns with garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt. Let them marinate for 10 – 15 minutes..
- Dry roast coriander seeds, fenugreek seeds and dried red chilli in a pan till fragrant..
- Grind together 4 tbspn coconut, ginger and roasted spices with a little water in a blender to a coarse paste..
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and when they splutter add curry leaves and onion and saute till lightly browned..
- Add ground paste and saute for 2 – 3 minutes..
- Add marinated prawns, salt, tamarind pulp, 2 tbspn grated coconut and water. Cook till prawns are done. Serve hot garnished with grated coconut. Prawns sukka ready..
