There are some foods that, when you eat them, could boost your mood. When you feel a little down and need an emotional boost, try a couple of these. Eggs, you might be astonished to learn, are terrific at battling depression. You must make sure, however, that what you make includes the egg yolk. The yolk is the most crucial part of the egg in terms of helping elevate your mood. Eggs, particularly the egg yolks, are loaded with B vitamins. B vitamins can genuinely help you boost your mood. This is because they help in improving the function of your neural transmitters, the parts of your brain that affect your mood. Try to eat an egg and feel a lot happier! Make a trail mixout of different seeds and nuts. Almonds, cashews, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and so on are all good for improving your mood. This is because these foods are rich in magnesium, which helps to boost your production of serotonin. Serotonin is called the “feel good” chemical and it tells your brain how you should be feeling day in and day out. The higher your levels of serotonin, the more pleasant you are going to feel. Not just that but nuts, particularly, are a great protein source. Cold water fish are wonderful for eating if you wish to fight depression. Tuna, trout, mackerel, herring and wild salmon are all rich in omega-3s and DHA. DHA and omega-3s are two things that raise the quality and the function of your brain’s grey matter. It’s the truth: consuming tuna fish sandwiches can truly help you battle your depression. Some grains are truly excellent for driving away bad moods. Quinoa, barley, teff, millet, etc are all wonderful for helping you feel happier. They help you feel full also which can actually help to make your mood better. Feeling hungry can be awful! These grains can help your mood elevate because it’s easy for your body to digest them. They are easier to digest than other foods which helps raise your blood sugar levels and that, in turn, improves your mood. Green tea is truly excellent for your mood. You knew green tea had to be mentioned, right? Green tea is loaded with a specific amino acid referred to as L-theanine. Studies show that this particular amino acid can actually stimulate brain waves. This will better your brain’s concentration while simultaneously calming the rest of your body. You knew that green tea helps you become healthier. Now you know that applies to your mood as well! Now you know that junk food isn’t necessarily what you have to eat when you want to help your moods get better. Try several of these instead!
